As for desulfurization, it can be divided into dry and wet methods, in which the dry method mainly consists of activated carbon method and iron oxide method, and the wet method includes chemical method, physical method and physical and chemical method. In the case of low sulfur content, dry desulfurization can be used. In the case of high sulfur content, wet oxidation is the main method, and dry desulfurization is used to assist the combination.
In terms of decarbonization, physical methods such as pressurized water washing, pressure swing adsorption, membrane separation and chemical methods such as NDEA and propylene carbonate are the main methods. Pressure water washing and pressure swing adsorption are mature and stable processes, which are suitable for large-scale biogas projects with high operational reliability, more engineering experience and more advantages in methane recovery by pressure water washing.
